Covid 19

7th September 2020Latest NewsTim Melling

Important information for guests

The world is a very different place since the pandemic and we want to reassure you that you can have confidence when staying with us. We have changed some of the things we do to ensure the safety of everyone in the building so please do read through this list as some of these will affect your stay.

Before you arrive as per Government advice, please do not travel to us if you or anyone in your party is showing any of the common symptoms of Coronavirus (i.e. fever, persistent cough, loss of taste or smell). We will happily rearrange your stay for a future date at no penalty, even at the last minute. If a track and trace app is available at the time of your stay, please download it to your phone before you set out on your journey. It is essential then to ensure everyone arrives in good health.  So if attending a weekend, please read and digest the Government’s health advice and guidelines below :

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public

On arrival. Please use hand sanitizer in the front porch and wear a mask in all public spaces. Your group leader will have allocated your room. There are 2 drinks stations, one in the piano room downstairs in the cottage and the other in the library in the barn. Please keep your mug with you. When moving around inside the cottage or the barn please ensure that you stay at least 1 metre apart at all times, particularly when beginning or ending a session. Tim and Liz will meet all the group in the studio before the first session and go through housekeeping and meals and answer any questions you have.

  • We encourage all our guests to maintain good personal, hand and respiratory hygiene by following the NHS guidelines on the Coronavirus overview page
  • If you’ve travelled from other countries outside of the UK, please follow the guidance under the section entitled Returning travellers on the Gov.uk website.

However we would like to reassure everyone attending a workshop at Nab Cottage that we are mindful of any potential risks and will be taking the following additional steps:

  • Keeping windows open wherever possible weather permitting
  • Encouraging guests to bring their own yoga mats and equipment
  • Although there is hot water in the toilet we will also provide hot water and soap in the library.  Please ensure you wash hands before each class, after each class, and before each meal.
  • Tissues will be provided in the yoga room and communal areas
  • All meals will be served in both dining rooms giving more personal space for each person
  • Wojtek, our chef, will have no contact with groups so minimizing risk of infection
  • During this period we will introduce disposable paper napkins at mealtimes

Please bear in mind that the situation is changing every day and we need to ensure that we all use our common sense and maintain a flexible approach.
